Whole Bean vs. Ground.....that is the question....What is the answer? Many debate if ground coffee is the way to go or if Whole Bean is the choice to go.

While ground is more convenient and quicker to prep, the reason for going whole bean is.....wait for it.......AROMA & FLAVOR!!!

Anytime one chooses to go with ground coffee, the flavor and aromas are going to diminish over time. Additionally, the coffee is likely to pick up surrounding aromas at that time.

This is a reason that there is a trend with coffee makers having built in grinders in their shops. While we are not a traditional coffee shop like Starbucks, Tulleys, etc. we do encourage you to invest in a simple $10-$15 grinder to keep in the counter. It is well worth the investment.

Only grind the beans you are going to use for brewing that day or at most that week. Even if you are not a daily coffee drinker, storing whole beans will increase shelf life by about ten fold. Either way, if using whole bean or ground, it is recommended to store your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
