Goat Milk Update
We know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the freshening of more of our goats since supply waned. To explain, we dry off all of our girls about 2 months before they deliver to give them a break from milking. We are one of the few farms that has milk year round because we divide our herd and have two kidding groups so we have milk all year. This year, word got out in the community about our year round supply and we had one of our goats dry up early so that led to a decrease in supply while demand just kept increasing. To help with this we have purchased more goats and plan to have about 8-10 goats in milk all year. To help us, we thank you for your loyalty!
We plan to have farm tours starting later this spring. Please watch the Facebook page for sign ups.
New to the farm is the long awaited DIY classes...we had our first DIY Saturday recently and it was a huge success. Check the FB page and the store to order tickets. Classes will include 3-4 demonstrations on things like butter and cheese making, kefir and kombucha making, canning, bone broth making, bee keeping, goat raising, chicken processing, soap making, gardening, and more! Join us for a date coming up in June and October this year!
Please check the Farm Store (www.twobytwofarmsga.com) for Beef Boxes, Beef Shares, Chicken Boxes, Blueberries, Butter in bulk, and more! And watch the page for fresh lamb and goat soon.
